Thursday Night Football marked the third game in 10 days for the Seattle Seahawks. Playing host to the struggling San Francisco 49ers, who were desperate to get right and not let Seattle add another game to their lead on the division. Meanwhile, the Seahawks had dropped two straight. Everyone was expecting a battle.

This is just bad, bad football. Again don’t look ready to play.

Things that are bad: this game so far

Seahawks cannot play literally any phase of the game. Say what you want about short week and injured players whatever whatever, but the constant is that the last three weeks they have looked like the worst team in the league.

I lied.

Seahawks fans freaking out about going 3-3 with a new coach, the NFLs upper crust will never understand….

Seahawks settle for a FG after a promising drive stalls out at the 2-yard line. It’s 16-3 at halftime.

Oh. Wow. I don’t know how many different ways it can be said, but here’s a few: That sucked; what a horrible display; terrible, terrible football; sell the team, Jody.
Alright, @PintOfJack is absolutely right. We definitely need to temper our expectations with our new team, but it’s understandably difficult to not overreact when they just aren’t executing, week after week… after week. It was a gross first half of football, but there’s still plenty of game left, and our defense has done well to mitigate the disaster. Teams overcome 13 point deficits all the time, no reason the Seattle Seahawks can’t do it too, right? Second half on the way.
Laviska Shenault Jr. returns the ensuing kickoff for a 97-yard TD, atoning for his lost fumble on a kickoff in the first half.

Seahawks get a TD to keep it interesting on a 9-yarder from Smith to Lockett on fourth and goal. Smith again had just enough time to get the throw off. He somehow hasn’t been sacked all game.

Well, there is technically a chance

Tough game for our starting franchise QB. Can’t wait to see him comeback even better after this game
— Steve LargeNut (@SteveLargeNuts) October 11, 2024
It was somewhat refreshing to see the ‘Hawks fight their way back into this one, but the hope was poison. Mental mistakes, poor execution, and more self-inflicted wounds are leading this team down a dark path, and the schedule ahead isn’t letting up. I’m sure I speak for everyone reading this when I say this: (heavy sigh).
The Seahawks get some much needed extra time off before heading to Georgia next week to take on our old buddy Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons, another team with a rookie head coach who are playing completely normal football.
