Canadian star Felix Auger-Aliassime reached the semifinals of the Open Occitanie in Montpellier, France on Friday, defeating Yunchaokete Bu 6-3, 6-4.
Needing one hour and 23 minutes to advance, Auger-Aliassime showed off his polished indoor game in front of the Parisian crowd. The current world No. 23 and winner of the Adelaide International to start the year, will next face either No. 5 seed Tallon Griekspoor or Jesper de Jong for a place in Sunday’s final.
Auger-Aliassime added 11 aces, won 86 percent of his first serve points and broke his opponent on two occasions.
Other matches that are still to come on Friday will include top seed Andrey Rublev taking on Nikoloz Basilashvili, No. 4 seed Alexander Bublik going up against Aleksandar Kovacevic, and No. 5 seed Tallon Griekspoor facing Jesper de Jong.

Top seed Anna Kalinskaya battled into the semifinals of the Singapore Tennis Open on Friday, defeating Mananchaya Sawangkaew from Thailand 6-3, 4-6, 6-0.
In a match that lasted three minutes shy of two hours, Kalinskaya hit three aces, won 73 percent of her first serve points and broke serve on six occasions.
The 26-year-old will next face Ann Li from the United States in Saturday’s semifinals. Li defeated Kimberly Birrell from Australia 7-6(2), 7-6(4) in one hour and 45 minutes.
Other results on the day saw No. 4 seed Xinyu Wang overcome Jil Teichmann 6-7(5), 7-6(5), 6-4. Wang will await either No. 2 seed Elise Mertens or No. 6 seed Camila Osorio in Saturday’s semifinal.

Ukrainian star Dayana Yastremska poured in an impressive performance on Friday at the Upper Austria Ladies Linz event in Austria, defeating No. 3 seed Maria Sakkari 7-5, 6-0.
In a match that lasted one hour and 20 minutes, Yastremska hit one ace, won 75 percent of her second serve points, and broke her Greek opponent on six occasions.
The 24-year-old will next face No. 8 seed Clara Tauson. Tauson continued her great year by defeating Anna Blinkova 6-4, 6-3.
Other matches that are still on the schedule on Friday will see top seed Karolina Muchova take on No. 6 seed Anastasia Potapova and No. 4 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova facing Petra Martic.
