Four-time former winner and Olympic Gold medalist Novak Djokovic returns to Shanghai for the first time in five years. The 37-year-old Serb, who has won every single major tournament in tennis, will be the main attraction in the 96 player field.
Djokovic, who will be aiming to win his 100th career title, will have to deal with the likes of world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, No. 2 Alexander Zverev, No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz and Russian star Daniil Medvedev.
The Rolex Shanghai Masters will take place from October 2 – 13, 2023 and will have prize money totalling $8,995,555.
From October 7 – 13th, the final 1000 level event on the WTA will highlight most of the top 25 players in the world. Led by world No. 1 Iga Swiatek and recent US Open winner Aryna Sabaelenka, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini, Qinwen Zheng and Emma Navvaro.
With valuable points up for grabs toward the season-ending event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this week event in Wuhan will surely bring forward the best in women’s tennis.
