Look ahead to day one of the 2024 ATP Finals with The Tennis Gazette, as we look at the full order of play and how to watch with Jannik Sinner among the stars in action.
Eight of the best ATP Tour players have flown into Turin, Italy to fight for glory at the season-ending tournament. Sinner has enjoyed a sensational 2024, and will close the season as the World No1 after securing the top spot en route to winning the Shanghai Masters in October.
Glory in China capped an already excellent campaign for the Italian after Sinner won his first Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open and the US Open. He will now bid to reach the final of the 2024 ATP Finals and a possible date with fellow Grand Slam champion, Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner is among the first singles players in action at the 2024 ATP Finals after being placed in the Ilie Nastase Group as the top seed. Alexander Zverev as the No2 seed headlines the John Newcombe Group, in which Alcaraz was placed ahead of the event in Thursday’s draw.

The draw for the group stage of the 2024 ATP Finals threw up the second-ever career match between Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz. Prior to their tussle in Turin, the pair had only met at the 2022 ATP Masters 1,000 Cincinnati when Medvedev won 7-6, 6-3 in the quarter-final.
Sinner and De Minaur are no strangers ahead of their day one tie at the 2024 ATP Finals. It is technically the ninth career meeting between the Italian and Australian on the ATP Tour. But De Minaur has never beaten Sinner on a court, so will now aim to upset the home favourite.
The only time that De Minaur has progressed in a tournament in which he was scheduled to play Sinner was the 2023 ATP Masters 1,000 Paris. But he only progressed from the round of 16 as the Italian withdrew over insufficient recovery time after facing Mackenzie McDonald.
Sinner withdrew from his clash with De Minaur at the 2023 ATP Masters 1,000 Paris planned for a 17:00 start time having started his match with McDonald just after midnight and it only finished at 02:37. Now, De Minaur goes for a first on-court win over Sinner at the ATP Finals.
