A blockbuster clash awaits us in the final of the ATP Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is trying to find his footing this year, takes on Felix Auger-Aliassime, who is on a roll this year. Who will win is anyone’s best guess but we try to preview and predict the all important final for you.
Head-to-head – Auger-Aliassime 3-6 Tsitsipas
Both players are pretty even when it comes to their head to head on hard courts as compared to their overall head to head. What is perhaps interesting about this match is their form this year. Felix Auger-Aliassime already having won two titles this year is playing close to his peak and the Canadian is showing no signs of slowing down. Stefanos Tsitsipas on the other hand has struggled big time but this week has been a welcome change from his recent performances.
Auger-Aliassime hasn’t been sublime this week having gone the distance in all his matches but the Canadian has dominated the third set in all but one match. Tsitsipas played his best match in the semi finals so recent form also doesn’t give us much to choose.

Where this match could be decided is who’s the fresher of the two. Auger-Aliassime will no doubt be spent while Tsitsipas looks fresher and eager to end his title drought this year. Expect a highly entertaining contest but as this match elongates and enters a likely third set, the Greek seems to have more in his tank to make things uncomfortable for Auger-Aliassime.
Prediction: Tsitsipas in 3
