Day 3 at the ATP 500 event in Dubai will feature all round of 16 matchups, with quite the star-studded lineup, including last year’s champion Ugo Humbert among many other interesting names. It should be a day full of high quality, exciting and tight matches, decided by small margins.
Head-to-head: Humbert 1-0 Griekspoor
Humbert is the defending champion at this event and he showed why with a dominant win against Lehecka today. These conditions seem to suit his game perfectly and, while Griekspoor can be a tough nut to crack, Humbert should once again make a deep run here and even have a good chance to defend his title. If he plays like he did today, he should advance with relative comfort here.
Prediction: Humbert in 2
Head-to-head: Bautista Agut 1-1 Halys
Bautista is a former champion at this event, back in 2018, and he finally snapped his long losing streak in the first round here against Marozsan. This match should be quite a tight affair but Bautista has a history of success here and might just be able to finally have another deep tournament run after struggling for a long time.
Prediction: Bautista Agut in 3
Head-to-head: Berrettini 1-0 O’Connell
Berrettini has been showing signs this year that he might be able to return to his best and he definitely has a kind draw to make a run here, after making it past Monfils today. O’Connell is a solid player, but Berrettini’s huge serve and forehand should be too much for him to handle and the Italian should advance to the quarterfinals here.
Prediction: Berrettini in 2

Head-to-head: first meeting
Auger-Aliassime has already won two titles in 2025 and will surely be looking for a third here after he narrowly missed out on a final in Doha in the third set tiebreak against Rublev. He seems to be making some real strides and, while Borges is a solid player on the cusp of the top 30, if Felix plays close to his best he has a very clear edge.
Prediction: Auger-Aliassime in 2
