Tsitsipas – Berrettini: 27.02.2025 17:30 CEST
H2H: 7-2
Stefanos Tsitsipas has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Doha, Medjedovic upset Stefanos in the opening round. Stefanos won the opening round match against Sonego in straight sets this week in Dubai. He trailed 0-3 in tiebreak in the opening set, but successfully turned it around. Stefanos offered no breakpoints in the second set and easily closed out the match. Today, in the second round, Stefanos won against Khachanov in three tight sets, as we predicted.
Matteo Berrettini has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Doha, Matteo reached the quarterfinals, losing against Draper in three tight sets, as we predicted. En route to the quarterfinals, as we predicted, Matteo upset Djokovic in straight sets. It is his second appearance in Dubai. In the opening round, Matteo won against Monfils in tight straight sets. Matteo offered no breakpoints in the second set and deservedly won in straight sets. Today, in the second round, the Italian won against O’Connell in straight sets, as we predicted. In his debut campaign, 2021, Matteo lost against Kudla in the opening round.
According to the bookies, Berrettini is the favorite in this matchup, and we agree. He is in great form and has been dominant this week in Dubai. On the other hand, Stefanos is no longer a top-10 player and has struggled with his form for the last few months. We expect Matteo to dominate and win tomorrow.
That being said, Berrettini winning is a value bet.

Auger-Aliassime – Cilic: 27.02.2025 11:00 CEST
H2H: 1-3
Felix Auger-Aliassime has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Doha, Felix reached the semifinals, losing against Rublev in three tight sets. A few weeks ago, Felix won the title in Montpellier, winning against Kovacevic in the final. At the beginning of the season, Felix won the title in Adelaide, winning against Korda in the final. It is his second appearance in Dubai. In the opening round, Felix won against Bublik in three tight sets. Today, Felix defeated Borges in three tight sets in the second round after losing the opening set 4-6. In his debut campaign, 2023, Felix lost in the second round against Sonego in straight sets.
Marin Cilic has won three of his last five matches. It is his seventh appearance in Dubai. He has never made it past the quarterfinals. In the opening round, Marin upset de Minaur in three tight sets. Today, in the second round, Cilic won against Popyrin in three tight sets, as we predicted. Around this time last year, Cilic was injured and skipped most of the season.
According to the bookies, Marin is the underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. Cilic has only played a few matches this season but showed great tennis. Felix struggled in both matches this week in Dubai. On the other hand, Marin won both matches as an underdog. We expect Marin to keep this match tight.
That being said, Cilic covering the games handicap is a value bet.
