Cobolli – Medvedev: 30.09.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1
Flavio Cobolli has won three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Cobolli represented Italy in the Davis Cup, where he won and lost one match. Here in Beijing, Flavio defeated Bublik in three tight sets as we predicted. After that, in the 1/8-Finals, Flavio won against Kotov in straight sets as we predicted. Cobolli had his biggest results at the beginning of the season, which made him a top 40 player. This will be his first Asian swing. Playing in the previous years at the challenger tour level, Cobolli skipped the Asian swing, so he does not have any points to defend here.
Daniil Medvedev has lost three of his last five matches. Last week, Medvedev played in the Laver Cup, where he lost both of his matches against the Americans. Here in Beijing, Medvedev defeated Monfils in straight sets as we predicted. After that, in the 1/8-Finals, Medvedev won against Mannarino in straight sets as we predicted. Daniil had his biggest results this season on the faster courts, such as this one. Last year in Beijing, Medvedev reached the final, where he lost against Sinner in two tiebreaks. That being said, Daniil has a lot of points to defend this week.
According to the bookies, Daniil is the favorite in this matchup. Just a couple of weeks ago, Medvedev defeated Cobolli in the US Open as we predicted. We expect a similar outcome tomorrow as well. Daniil is just a better hard-court player than Cobolli, so we believe that he will win this match easily.
That being said, Medvedev covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Sinner – Lehecka: 30.09.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 2-0
Jannik Sinner has won 14 straight matches, and holds the number 1 ranking. Here in Beijing, Jannik defeated Jarry in the opening round in three sets. In the 1/8-Finals, Sinner defeated Safiullin in three tight sets as we predicted. This has been the most successful season for the young Italian, who became just the fourth player to win two hardcourt Grand Slams in a single season. Jannik is the defending champion here in Beijing.
Jiri Lehecka has lost three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Lehecka represented the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup, where he lost both of his singles matches. Here in Beijing, Lehecka defeated Martinez in the first round in straight sets. After that, in the 1/8-Finals, Lehecka lost the first set against another Spaniard, Bautista-Agut. However, Lehecka stepped up his level, and turned the match around.
According to the bookies, Jannik is the big favorite in this matchup. Jannik struggled in both of his matches in Beijing. Lehecka showed solid tennis this week, and we believe that he will keep this match tight.
That being said, Lehecka covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Jiri Lehecka +5.5 games handicap @1.60 @bet365
