NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar, the son of legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar, reached a significant milestone in his career during the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy.
The left-arm pacer, representing Goa, completed 50 wickets in his white-ball career in a match against Odisha. Although he went wicketless in Goa’s second game against Haryana after taking three wickets in the clash against Odisha.
Arjun, who debuted in T20s for Mumbai in 2021, has taken 51 wickets across 41 white-ball matches. The left-arm pacer has claimed 24 dismissals in 17 List A games and 27 wickets in 24 T20 appearances.
After being re-signed by the Mumbai Indians during the IPL 2025 mega-auction, Arjun has recorded a four-wicket haul in both List A and T20 formats.
Before breaking into the India U19 team, he represented Mumbai in junior cricket and made his senior cricket debut for Mumbai during the 2020/21 season.
Arjun has tallied 37 wickets and 532 runs in 17 first-class matches, including one five-wicket haul in the Ranji Trophy. In comparison, his father, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, took 71 wickets in 310 first-class matches but never managed a five-fer in the format.
However, the Master Blaster claimed two five-wicket hauls in ODIs and concluded his white-ball career with 201 wickets in List A cricket and two wickets in T20s.
