KIMBERLY – Keegan VanKauwenberg scored 56 points to lead the Ghosts to the win over the Papermakers and also helped them clinch a share of the Fox Valley Association title.
His point total broke the previous Kaukauna school record of 52 held by Chris Morgan (2022).
VanKauwenberg made 20-of-31 shots and was also 8-for-10 on 3-pointers. He added six assists and six rebounds.
Caden Graff added 21 points for Kaukauna (20-3 overall, 15-2 FVA), while Andrew Jensen scored 11. The Ghosts can win the FVA title outright with a win at home over Fond du Lac on Thursday.
Ben Grabner led Kimberly with 26 points. Landen Van Offeren added 20 points. Aaron Cullen and Mikey Wildes scored 15 and 11 points, respectively.

WAUKESHA – Ashwaubenon finished in fifth place in the team standings with 158 points at Waukesha South High School.
McFarland won its second consecutive team title and eighth in program history, finishing with 283 points. McFarland won eight of the 12 events, including five individual events and three relays. Rhinelander was second with 235 points.
Anthony Hendrickson led Ashwaubenon with two fifth-place finishes. He was fifth in the 200-yard individual medley and fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 57.97 seconds.
The Division 1 state meet is Saturday, with diving competition beginning at 9:30 a.m. and swimming events at 2:30 p.m.
