High school football: Winneconne stays undefeated with win over Xavier
The Winneconne Wolves remained undefeated and took sole possession of first place in the Bay Conference with a victory over Xavier on Friday.

MIDDLETON – Kimberly took second place out of 15 teams at the tournament, finishing with a 4-2 record.
The Papermakers had wins over Madison West 25-17, 27-25, top-ranked Sussex Hamilton 21-25, 25-23, 17-15, No. 2 Germantown 25-23, 25-20 and No. 5 Marquette University 25-22, 25-17.
Arrowhead defeated Kimberly 25-22, 23-25, 15-13 and Sussex Hamilton won a rematch with a 25-22, 25-21 victory.
Owen Krause had 35 kills, 10 aces and 18 digs for Kimberly. Michael Janssen had 27 kills, Tyler Haase had 18 kills, Alex Krause had 33 kills and 26 digs, Blake Zielinski had 125 assists, Nick Sroda had 25 kills and Jack Hruzek had 47 digs.
Kaukauna had a 2-2 record and won the consolation bracket.
In pool play, Wauwatosa East beat Kaukauna 23-25, 25-20, 17-15 and Middleton beat the Ghosts 25-13, 25-11.
In the consolation bracket, Kaukauna beat Madison Edgewood 25-20, 25-13 and Madison Memorial 25-15, 17-25, 15-7.
Maverick Kelderman led Kaukauna with 19 kills. Brady Mayer, Donovan Waters and Clayton Torrey had 15, 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Nola Laflen and Sam Hussin had 34 and 21 assists, respectively. Mayer and Kelderman both had 17 digs. Waters and Brody Ritchie each had 15 digs. Torrey added 12 blocks.
MILWAUKEE – Fox Valley Lutheran went 5-0 to win the eight-team tournament.
The Foxes defeated Luther High School 25-16, 25-16, Winnebago Lutheran 25-13, 25-14 and Luther Prep 17-25, 25-10, 15-5 in pool play.
In the Gold Bracket semifinal, FVL beat Manitowoc Lutheran 25-17, 25-17 and then beat Luther Prep 25-23, 25-20 in the championship match.
Alaina Patchett had 25 kills and 10 digs for FVL. Hannah Uhlenbrauck had 19 kills, while Hannah Draeger and Sophia Wunderlich both had 16 kills. Ava Patchett had 48 assists, 12 aces and 25 digs. Molly Bixby had 47 assists and 14 digs, and Riley Schmitz had 57 digs.
DE PERE – Oconto Falls finished second at the invitational with a 4-1 record, falling to West De Pere in the title match.
In pool play, Oconto Falls beat Sheboygan Falls 25-14, 25-23, Marinette 25-14, 25-9 and Oconto 25-12, 25-20.
In the Gold Bracket, Oconto Falls beat Winneconne 25-21, 23-25, 15-13 and lost to West De Pere 25-16, 26-24.
Izzy Otto led Oconto Falls with 102 assists, 26 digs and eight aces. Lucy Ripley had 56 kills. Amber Otto had 27 kills. Rylie Shallow added 45 digs and six aces, and Hailyn St. Louis had 26 digs and eight aces.
