Anthony Davis Mesmerizes NBA Fans in 1st Half of Lakers vs. Kings with LeBron Out

With LeBron James out for the Los Angeles Lakers’ Saturday night game against the Sacramento Kings, Anthony Davis stepped up big time, recording 17 first-half points and mesmerizing NBA fans.

In addition to his 17 points, Davis recorded two assists and eight rebounds, shooting 7-of-8 from the field. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura also contributed, each adding 13 points.

As the Lakers trailed by one at halftime, 66-65, fans took to social media to praise Davis for his hot start:

Austin Reaves had 10 points to match Anthony Davis, with the pair combining to hit 9 of 10 shots.
Reaves also has 6 assists already, on pace to surpass his career high of 14.

In the first quarter, Davis was perfect from the field, going 5-for-5, including two big-time baskets in the final three minutes.

After sitting for the first half of the third quarter, Davis missed both of his free throws upon re-entering but quickly bounced back with a successful 17-foot jumper.

Davis and the Lakers will look to secure their 18th win of the season and their second consecutive victory.
