Centre Hills Country Club is set to host the Pink Zone Golf Tournament on Monday, Oct. 7. The event will start at 11 a.m. and end around 5 p.m.
The tournament has been hosted every year since 2021 by the Pennsylvania Pink Zone. It will feature women’s and men’s divisions in a Pro-Am format that offers the opportunity to golf with a regional pro. Registration is available online.
“You’re going to have a great day on a beautiful private course,” Patricia Fulvio, Pink Zone executive director, said. “And you’re going to be helping local people right here in your community.”
The Pennsylvania Pink Zone began in 2007 and has raised more than $3.2 million for partner organizations, including the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and local health care institutions, and directs aid to local breast cancer patients and their families.
“Our goals remain the same, which is to assist local people in the midst of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment or living with breast cancer,” Fulvio said. “So we are here to mobilize resources and to help people in any way that we can.”
Pink Zone hosts events similar to the golf tournament as well as annual Pink Zone games with Penn State athletics. Ticket and T-shirt sales are given back to Pink Zone during those games.
Notably the Pink Zone Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16, as the Penn State Lady Lions take on the Wisconsin women’s basketball team. The time of the game is still to be determined.
