Annual Addie and Baylor Kirchgessner Foundation Golf Tournament
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – The Addie and Baylor Kirchgessner Foundation held its fourth annual golf tournament on Monday.
The tournament is all about remembering the young lives lost after they were hit by a truck while playing mini golf in Panama City Beach. The family is from Kentucky, but the money raised in the tournament will go back into Bay County to put books in the hands of young readers.
We are told the event grows each year with around 110 golfers participating this year. The foundation has given away more than 100,000 books so far.
“I’m a golf professional, that’s what I do for a living,” said Matt Kirchgessner, Addie and Baylor’s dad. “Addie was getting into where she loved golf. It’s a great way to raise money and it’s a good way to get people out and bond around golf and supporting a great cause, and keep our sweet babies legacies alive.”
The foundation has sponsored book fairs in the county and will continue to help get more books into the hands of children.
