To find out which careers are most likely to make you happy, Career.io analyzed 755,758 Glassdoor reviews and ranked jobs based on the average employee rating out of five. The full methodology can be viewed here.
Real estate agents had the highest job satisfaction overall, with an average rating of 4.24. Following behind were carpenters (3.95) and software developers (3.86).
The unhappiest workers in the study were mail carriers, who gave a rating of just 2.83, on average. That poor score might have something to do with getting bitten by dogs on the job.
When it comes to high-paying roles, data scientists are the happiest (4.07), while pharmacists are the least satisfied (2.97).
