Successor of Madouni
Ahmed Madouni is no longer the head coach of Qatar’s U17 team. As the association officially announced, former Real Madrid defender Álvaro Mejía, who was signed from first division club Al-Shahania, will take over, along with his assistants Jorge Peris and Benjamin Goodson. Qatar will host the next five U17-World Cups until 2029.
