Alexander Zverev has reached yet another quarter-final this season after beating Marcos Giron at the Vienna Open.
Zverev said Giron was serving ‘unbelievable’ in their Vienna Open round of 16 match, which the former won 6-2, 7-5.
The top seed now faces Lorenzo Musetti for a place in the semi-finals, with the Italian through after Gael Monfils withdrew from their last 16 tie with illness.
Zverev is third in the ATP rankings thanks to his superb season so far, with the German boasting a 59-19 record.
The 22-time ATP Tour winner is also third in the Race to Turin, but Zverev has already clinched a spot in the ATP Finals.
Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev have also sealed their places for the year-end tournament.
Zverev will be doing his utmost to stay in form as the event approaches, with the German set to have gained great confidence from his latest win.

As per the ATP website, not only has Zverev now secured a season-best 61 wins, but he has now reached 14 tour-level quarter-finals in 2024, with Sinner the only other player to achieve that feat.
With ATP Finals qualification already secured, Zverev can be somewhat relaxed at the Vienna Open, at least compared to his fellow professionals.
A second tour-level title of the season should, therefore, be at the forefront of his mind, with the German having won the Italian Open in Rome in May.
But he faces a very tough test against Wimbledon semi-finalist Musetti in his next Vienna Open match, with the Italian the sixth seed in Austria.

Zverev will undoubtedly be eager to lift the trophy this week, having returned to Europe after a disappointing Shanghai Masters.
After helping Team Europe win the Laver Cup, the world number three suffered a round of 16 exit in Shanghai at the hands of David Goffin.
But he looks strong once more on the Vienna hard courts, with Zverev firing 10 aces and converting all three break points earned in his 73-minute win over Giron.
