Alabama football will have one of its guards back for 2025.
Jaeden Roberts announced he will stay for next season on Instagram on Tuesday night.
“One more” he posted with a photo of him in his No. 77 jersey.
Roberts was the primary starter at right guard this season, starting in 11 games. The 6-5, 310-pound lineman is from Houston, Texas. He will be a redshirt senior in the fall.
Roberts also started eight games in 2023.
Roberts’ return gives the Crimson Tide three of its five starting offensive linemen back for 2025. Left tackle Kadyn Proctor and center Parker Brailsford are set to return for another season. Left guard Tyler Booker left for the NFL Draft, and right tackle Elijah Pritchett left for the transfer portal.
Meanwhile, Alabama added Kam Dewberry from Texas A&M in the transfer portal. He is expected to compete for snaps at guard. The Crimson Tide also has five-star signee Michael Carroll coming in as well as four-star offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd. Both are expected to compete for starting spots.
Wilkin Formby, who saw some time at right tackle this season, is a candidate for the right tackle job.
