Alabama football has added another depth piece to its offensive line ahead of spring ball.
According to Yea Alabama, the University of Alabama’s Name, Image and Likeness collective which released jersey numbers for the new members of the Crimson Tide‘s 2025 roster ahead of spring practice, former Mississippi State offensive lineman and Tuscaloosa native Jayden Hobson joined the roster and will wear No. 48.
A former three-star offensive tackle out of Hillcrest High School in the 2023 recruiting class, Hobson was the No. 1,678 player and the No. 132 offensive tackle in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He was the 67th-ranked Alabama prospect in 2023.
Hobson is a 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive tackle.
Hobson is the third offensive lineman Alabama added through the transfer portal along with Texas A&M guard Kam Dewberry and Ball State offensive tackle Arkel Anugwom.
Hobson played at Bryant High School before tranferring to Hillcrest as a senior. He originally chose Mississippi State over Southern Miss, West Virginia and others.
He redshirted his first season with Mississippi State before transferring to South Alabama. He did not play for the Jaguars in 2024.
