Alabama basketball is selling out more than Coleman Coliseum for the 2024-25 season.
On its hunt for a first-ever national championship, the Crimson Tide have not only sold out season tickets and single-game tickets for 12 out of 15 home games. Nate Oats and company are also set to play for a handful of full houses on the road.
Tickets for the team’s first away game at Purdue on Nov. 15 is sold out. So is the SEC/ACC challenge against North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Dec. 4. Alabama isn’t even listed on the single-game tickets tab of Texas A&M’s ticketing site.
It’s probably not a shock that there aren’t any tickets left for the regular season finale at Auburn on March 8, either.
“I didn’t know that,” Oats told reporters at the first media availability of the year on Thursday. “That’s good information.”
”We’re playing some good basketball programs. We chose to go play Purdue. We got to go play Carolina in the SEC/ACC challenge,” Oats said, calling the two “very good basketball schools.”
“They have great tradition. So I don’t want to just assume because it’s us that they’re sold out,” Oats said.
Then, he remembered Alabama is ranked second in the country.
“I would think those basketball schools that want to see their teams play against high level teams would want to see a top five team come in and they play against them,” Oats explained, reminding that lofty rankings “don’t always correlate” with success come tip-off.
Ticketmaster issues tickets for North Dakota, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri. The site’s resale marketplace has tickets for North Dakota listed at as low as $119 and as high as $431. South Carolina tickets start at $30 and go up to $275.
Tickets for Alabama’s first meeting with Kentucky on Jan. 18 start to sell at $200 with a max price of $999. Prices for Alabama at Tennessee on Mar. 01 start at $44 and go up to $877.50, including fees.
All Ticketmaster prices listed were current as of Thursday afternoon.
Per Texas’ website, men’s basketball tickets “are not expected” to be available on a single game basis. The ticketing site for Arkansas, prepping for its first year with ex-Kentucky coach John Calipari, doesn’t allow hopeful buyers to so much as click on season tickets or single-game tickets. Texas men’s basketball tickets are not expected to be available on a single game basis.
“We know that our guys deserve to have some attention,” Oats said.
Two road SEC opponents still have ticket availability for matchups with the Crimson Tide. Single-game tickets for Alabama vs. Mississippi State on Jan. 29 will be on sale through Mississippi State starting Dec. 4 at 8:30 a.m. Missouri has listings as low as $35 and going up to $65 for its Feb. 19 visit from the Crimson Tide.
Additionally, just four percent of tickets remain for Alabama’s appearances against Rutgers and Houston in the Players Era Festival, per ticket vendor Vivid Seats.
“Talent doesn’t win games. talent doesn’t necessarily guarantee good basketball, but we do have talent,” Oats said, hoping that Alabama puts out a “product” worthy of its sold-out billing.
