Alabama basketball could fall victim to a jinx on Tuesday.

While previewing Vanderbilt on the latest edition of “Hey Coach,” freshman Labaron Philon told the Crimson Tide Sports Network, “We’re not losing at home no more.”

The statement came before the No. 3 Crimson Tide’s first appearance back in Coleman Coliseum since a surprising loss to Ole Miss.

“I just got to start there,” Philon said on Monday. “We lost to Ole Miss last Tuesday, but we’re just going to be ready and we’re going to have a lot of fire and we’re going to be ready to play tomorrow, so get ready to see that.”

Alabama faithful were quick to recall when Auburn’s Johni Broome said, “We’re not losing no more,” after winning the SEC Championship.

Five days later, Auburn lost to Yale in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament.

Vanderbilt shocked Kalen DeBoer’s Crimson Tide in October. There’s a formula that could see the Commodores stun Nate Oats and company, too.

First-year Mark Byington’s Vandy team leads the SEC forcing 16.1 turnovers per game and tie for second in the league with an average 10.2 steals. Considering Alabama (15-3, 4-1 SEC) is still turning the ball over about 12.9 times per contest, Vanderbilt (15-3, 3-2 SEC) has the potential to cause a repeat of the season-high 21 turnovers that cost the Tide its undefeated record at home.
