Afghanistan’s seasoned fast bowler Shapoor Zadran has called time on his international cricket career.
Zadran’s retirement comes after more than a decade of service to Afghanistan cricket, during which he played a vital role in the team’s rise on the international stage.
The left-arm pacer was a key player in Afghanistan’s early cricketing years, participating in three ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournaments. He etched his name in history by scoring the winning runs against Scotland at the 2015 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in Dunedin, marking Afghanistan’s first-ever World Cup victory.
