Ever dream of owning one of Adrian Wojnarowski’s old iPhones or press credentials? Now is your chance.
Taking to X on Monday morning, the former ESPN NBA insider-turned-St. Bonaventure general manager announced that he’s auctioning off several items from his storied media career, including old iPhones, credentials to NBA events and an ESPN ID badge, as well as the opportunity to meet him via dinner or a video call. Proceeds from the auction, which can be found on PutABounty.com, will benefit the Bonnies’ name, image and likeness (NIL) fund.
“BREAKING: Woj Bombs are history, but now you can be a part of them,” the 55-year-old wrote on X. “Own the iPhones I used to report the biggest stories in basketball. Use link to bid on my original iPhones, NBA Draft credentials, dinner with me and more to help support @BonniesMBB NIL.”

While one could certainly question the historical significance of the actual devices that were used to disseminate news, give Wojnarowski credit for making an effort here. These aren’t just random iPhones that the longtime NBA insider happened to use over the course of his career; rather, they’re specifically labeled with the news that he broke on them, including the Los Angeles Clippers acquiring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the NBA suspending its season as a result of the then-emerging COVID-19 pandemic, the 2023 NBA Draft and even his own retirement from sports media.
Similarly, his old credentials include various NBA Finals, All-Star Games and drafts.
Bids on items in the auction currently range from $90 for his credential to the 2023 NBA All-Star Game to $525 for the iPhone he used to break the suspension of the 2020 season. The auction is currently scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, March 4.
Despite retiring from ESPN in shocking fashion last fall, Wojnarowski has remained forward facing in his role at St. Bonaventure, which makes sense considering how much of his job is tied to NIL fundraising. Moving forward, it will certainly be interesting to see how much Woj’s collection goes for and whether any other ex-media members with drawers full of old iPhones and credentials attempt to follow suit.
