The incident occurred on Tuesday when two tickets for the India vs. England T20I match at Eden Gardens, belonging to Mukherjee’s manager, were taken by the delivery partner during a scheduled delivery.The tickets were meant to be delivered within New Town, Kolkata, but the delivery partner reportedly failed to complete the task. Instead, the order status showed the tickets as delivered in the early hours of the following day. However, communication with the delivery partner ceased as they allegedly blocked the contact numbers of the recipient.

The tickets were intended for the father of one of the recipients, a cricket enthusiast who had traveled all the way from Kanpur to watch the match. The theft not only resulted in the loss of the tickets but also dashed the hopes of a fan eager to experience a live game at Eden Gardens.

Despite having the delivery partner’s details, Swiggy reportedly did not take swift action to resolve the issue. The lack of prompt assistance from the platform, coupled with the police being unable to help, left the recipients frustrated. They expressed concerns about the platform’s accountability and reliability in ensuring the safe delivery of valuable items.
