Dallastown, York Suburban claim District 3 girls basketball titles
Dallastown defeated Red Lion for the Class 6A title and York Suburban defeated Middletown in Class 5A.
Academy Sports + Outdoors, a leading full-line sporting goods and outdoor recreation retailer whose mission is to provide “Fun for All,” opens this week in York, which marks its 300th store.
The 61,000-square-foot store located at the shopping center at 2801 E. Market St. is expected to bring an estimated 60 new jobs to the community.
To celebrate its grand opening the store will host multiple festivities for the local community.
On Thursday, Academy Sports will be partnering with Penn State running back Kaytron Allen and donating a total of $10,000 to the community.
Allen will shop alongside 100 kids from the Boys & Girls Club, according to a news release. Each child will receive an Academy gift card to shop for new clothes, shoes, sports equipment, camping gear, and more.
From Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9, the first 150 customers (18 years or older) will receive free gift cards each day. The following discounts will be applied to merchandise including:
