A rough season for Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers got even rougher this week when the NFL fined him.
Rodgers was slapped with a $11,255 fine for a late hit against the Bills.
The play came in the third quarter after Rodgers was intercepted by Bills cornerback Christian Benford.
On the return, Benford ran out of bounds and Rodgers hit him late.
Rodgers was penalized for unnecessary roughness for the first time in his career.
In addition to Rodgers, Jets defensive end Micheal Clemons was fined $6,533 for unnecessary roughness in the Bills game after he jumped on a pile late.
The Jets made a few roster moves Saturday afternoon.
They placed CB Sauce Gardner on injured reserve.
Gardner had already been ruled out of Sunday’s game with the Dolphins due to a hamstring injury.
They signed DL Bruce Hector to the active roster and elevated CB Tre Swilling and OL Zack Bailey to the active roster.
