Over the next few weeks, the UNC football program’s staff is expected to start falling in place.
On Monday, we got two new expected additions to Bill Belichick’s first staff with the UNC football program.
The first addition is Cory Giddings, who will join the Tar Heels player personnel department.
Giddings most recently served as the Director of Player Personnel at UCF. He worked alongside Andrew Blaylock, who he will now once again team up with in Chapel Hill. Prior to working at UCF, Giddings spent time at App State as the program’s Assistant Director of Player Personnel.
The second hire is one with Bill Belichick ties: former New England Patriots’ head strength and conditioning coach Moses Cabrera.
Cabrera worked alongside Belichick in New England for 12 seasons, being part of three Patriots’ Super Bowl teams. He does come with some collegiate experience, having worked at both Fresno State and Colorado prior to making his way to Foxsboro.
The pieces of the puzzle are starting to be put together, as we continue to receive updates on the UNC football program’s staff. This isn’t limited to the coaches who be working alongside Belichick but also includes the very important staff members in the front office and the equally vital strength and conditioning team.
At this point, the question remains: “Who will be next?”
