Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is in a much better mood this Sunday despite picking up an ankle injury against the Steelers.
Brown was injured on what appeared to be a hip-drop tackle in the second half of Philly’s 27-13 win over their fellow Pennsylvanians. Brown limped off the field, but told reporters after the game that his ankle is fine.
The injury came after Brown caught eight passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. DeVonta Smith had 11 catches for 109 yards and another score, so both wideouts were able to enjoy themselves a lot more than they did while combining for eight catches in last Sunday’s win over the Panthers.
Brown and Smith both called for the passing game to improve in the wake of that game and getting the desired result along with good injury news means it should be a calmer week around the receiver room in Philly.
