50 Cent didn’t hold back when reacting to Lil Baby’s jaw-dropping gambling confession.
The Atlanta rapper recently revealed on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place Podcast that he lost a staggering $8 million in just 40 hours during the peak of his gambling habit.
“One day, probably in like 40 hours straight, I lost $8 million, $9 million,” Lil Baby shared during the interview, reflecting on how the loss forced him to confront his addiction.
To curb the habit, he took a drastic step. “I made myself stop gambling. I had Mike Rubin write a letter to every casino banning me, ’cause I just do stuff like that,” he admitted.
Baby emphasized that he no longer gambles, but the story has continued to spark reactions, including one from 50 Cent.
Sharing a clip of Lil Baby’s interview on Instagram, 50 Cent offered his candid opinion. “Nah, these young [ninja emoji] crazy. $8 million gambling? I thought only Floyd [Mayweather] did stuff like that. LOL. Come out the joint looking distraught. I’m just glad he didn’t kill nobody,” the rapper and mogul quipped.
In a follow-up comment, he added, “Come on, he said 1 day, because he lost it in 1 shot.”
This isn’t the first time Lil Baby has opened up about his risky betting. On a 2022 episode of 360 With Speedy, he recounted losing $600,000 in a single night while gambling with Drake in the Bahamas. The admission highlighted the high stakes of his once-unchecked habit.
Despite the headlines surrounding his gambling losses, Lil Baby has shifted his focus back to his music. His highly anticipated album WHAM (Who Hard as Me) is set to release on January 3, promising to kick off 2024 with a statement.
While fans eagerly await the project, stories like these continue to underscore the high-pressure lifestyle of hip-hop’s elite, where fortune and risk often walk a thin line.
50 Cent is set to begin his Las Vegas residency next week.
