TEAM: Miami Heat
PRE-DRAFT TEAM: Arizona
After the conclusion of the 2024 NBA Draft, based on the consensus big board provided by Rookie Scale, Arizona’s Keshad Johnson was ranked as the No. 2 overall undrafted free agent.
He has proven why with stellar play during NBA 2K25 Summer League, standing out as one of the top overall performers among all first-year players. Johnson has now helped lead his team to five consecutive wins across his appearances, playing in the starting lineup during each.
His best performance was against the Lakers on July 10, scoring 21 points while adding 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. But the forward, who had the widest hands of anyone at the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, looks excellent on defense. Just watch him on this possession. He has recorded at least one or more steals during each game he has played thus far.
Johnson is shooting 38.9 percent on 3-pointers, which includes a debut in which he went 0-for-4. He has also recorded 7 dunks and some crazy highlights and alley-oops during these games so far, showing off his 6-foot-10 wingspan and 42.0 max vertical (also the best of anyone at the NBA Draft Combine).
This is nothing new for Johnson considering, per Bart Torvik, he was one of two undrafted collegiate players to connect on at least 45 dunks and 35 shots from beyond the arc last season.
Miami may have found another undrafted gem with Johnson, continuing a remarkable track record, and he could easily get converted to a fully guaranteed NBA contract sooner rather than later.
