4 arrested in illegal gambling investigation throughout Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said four people were arrested following a search warrant of three properties in an illegal gambling investigation.
On Saturday, March 1, deputies from the Gang Supression Unit executed three search warrants of the following properties:
- 2700 block of Cirtrus Avenue
- 3200 block of Century Drive
- 2500 block of Oswell Street
In the searches, deputies said they found indications of operating illegal gambling establishments, several pounds of marijuana, seven firearms, and over $200,000 in U.S. cash.
Benjamin Lewis, 42, Lawrence De La Torre, 43, Jessisa Rivera, 22, and Brandon Colombo, 34, were arrested on several charges related to operating an illegal gambling establishment, weapons, and drugs.
