ENFIELD, CT (WFSB) – Four people were arrested as part of an operation to address store thefts in Enfield’s shopping district.
Police identified the suspects as 29-year-old Miguel Manon, 37-year-old Melvin Ramirez, 43-year-old Josefina Beltre, and Deyanira Sanchez, 34.
All of the suspects were from New York City.
According to police, they, with help from the Connecticut State Police retail task force, conducted the operation on Wednesday.
They said they worked with loss prevention departments from several stores in an effort to identify and apprehend shoplifters as they committed the crimes.
All four suspects were charged with third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, possession of a shoplifting device, and organized retail theft.
Their bonds were set at $10,000 each.
