SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) – An autism center focused on empowering and supporting individuals with autism to reach their fullest potential is set to open its doors next month in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
The new Lighthouse Autism Center has announced its opening date of February 24, 2025, and will not only create around 35 jobs but it will also provide services to 25 area families.
According to a press release from Lighthouse Autism Center, the South Sioux City center will offer a comprehensive range of services including ABA Therapy, Speech Therapy, Autism Diagnostic Testing, Virtual Parent Training and Pre-Academic Learning.
“We are incredibly excited to open our new center in South Sioux City,” said Traci Meador, the Director of Director of Special Programs and Expansion Operations. “This expansion represents our steadfast commitment to providing exceptional, individualized services to families and children in this community. Our mission is to support and empower individuals with autism to reach their fullest potential, and we look forward to partnering with Nebraska families and local organizations to enhance autism awareness and provide essential support.”
The public is invited to visit the center during an open house on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, from 2 p.m. until 6 pm. .at 3309 Daniels Lane, South Sioux City.
The South Sioux City center will feature Lighthouse Fusion®, an innovative approach to speech therapy, developed by the organization’s team of dual-certified BCBA/SLPs.
The organization was founded in 2012 by the parents of a child with autism and is headquartered in Mishawaka, Indiana.
