The Arizona Cardinals are in offseason mode and we are days away from free agency and weeks from the NFL draft. Leading up to the new league year, we will take a look at each player on the roster or signed to a reserve deal and break down where they stand with the team.
We will look at their 2024 season, their contract status and what their status is for the coming offseason and 2025 season.
Next up is linebacker Milo Eifler.
Eifler entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2021 and has also been with the Miami Dolphins, Washington Commanders and Atlanta Falcons. In 2024, he was waived/injured by the Falcons on Aug. 27 and after landing on injured reserve the following day, was waived on Oct. 21. He was signed to the Cardinals practice squad on Oct. 30 and then signed to the active roster on Dec. 20 when Jesse Luketa was placed on injured reserve. Eifler played two games and was inactive for one, and played 23 snaps (35 percent) on special teams.
His salary if on the active roster this season will be $1.1 million, the minimum for players with three credited seasons.
For now, the Cardinals don’t have a lot of depth on the inside, so he will have an opportunity to compete in the offseason depending on what additions might occur in free agent and/or the draft.
