Thirty players have the chance this week to claim the title of 2024 FedEx Cup champion with a victory at the Tour Championship—and take home the $25 million reward for the honor. The money is substantial—$7 million to the winner than a year ago—but it’s about a lot more than that, especially for Scottie Scheffler.

This is the third straight year that the World No. 1 will start the Tour Championship with a two-stroke advantage; he ultimately finished T-2 and T-6 in back-to-back years, losing to Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland, respectively. Despite all of his accolades and wins in recent years, Scheffler has yet to finish the job in the PGA Tour’s season finale. Could this be his year?

Hovland, defending champion at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, will be attempting to hold off Scheffler and the rest of the PGA Tour’s best despite his up-and-down play this season. He’ll be starting the tournament eight strokes behind Scheffler, but 72 holes is more than enough time to catch up if things are clicking. Hov shot a closing seven-under 63 in 2023, which became the lowest Sunday score for a Tour Championship winner.

If you’re looking for the hot hand, then you need to consider Keegan Bradley. He was 50th in the FedEx points standings, just barely in the field, entering last week’s BMW Championship only to go on and win the title at Castle Pines Golf Club outside of Denver. Now Bradley is all the way up to the No. 4 spot in the FedEx Cup Playoffs, starting four back of Scheffler. Adam Scott, Tommy Fleetwood and Chris Kirk also snuck into the Top 30, ultimately booting out Brian Harman, Jason Day, Davis Thompson and Denny McCarthy.

This week’s winner will receive a $25 million cut of the $100 million FedEx Cup bonus poll.

Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Friday from 1-6 p.m. EDT. On Saturday, Golf Channel will start the coverage from 1-2:30 p.m. with NBC taking over with afternoon coverage from 2:30-7 p.m. On Sunday, Golf Channel will start the coverage from 12 noon-1:30 p.m. with NBC taking over with afternoon coverage from 1:30-6 p.m.

PGA Tour Live streaming coverage takes place on ESPN+ from 11:15 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 12 noon-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
