The Laver Cup will be played over three days at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, with day sessions on each day of play and night sessions on 20 and 21 September.
Points are awarded for a match win, with the number of points increasing each day. Winning a match on the opening day (20 September) earns teams one point, followed by two points on Saturday and three points for matches on Sunday (22 September).
The first team to reach 13 points will win the Laver Cup, currently held by back-to-back champions Team World. At least nine matches will be played between the two teams, though the competition could go up to 13 matches if the scoreboard is still too tight.
As per the organisers, “If the tournament is tied after 12 matches, a final overtime doubles match ‘The Decider’ is played to determine the winner.”
