PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) –
The 57th playing of the Crosstown Showdown was the highlight of this week of high school football in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The Parkersburg South Patriots took back the Corbitt Cup as they took down the Parkersburg Big Reds 26-17. Running back Eli Bartley rushed for 256 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
The Williamstown Yellowjackets remain undefeated after an LKC victory over Ritchie County 58-6.
The Doddridge County Bulldogs also got a win in an LKC match up, as they took down the Ravenswood Red Devils 41-6.
The Warren Warriors won their fourth straight game, as they got a 56-0 victory at home over Paintsville High School from Kentucky.
The Fort Frye Cadets are now on a four-game winning streak, as they took down Harrison Central at home 51-6.
The Waterford Wildcats grinded out a victory at home over Nelsonville-York 12-6. Jacob Burke caught an interception in the endzone for a touchdown to win the game for Waterford with two minutes remaining.
The Marietta Tigers got a win on the road over Whitehall 33-20.
The Belpre Golden Eagles got their first win of the season, as they took care of Beallsville on the road 34-12.
The Frontier Cougars fought hard, but lost at home to Valley Wetzel 47-34.
