RUSK, Texas (KLTV) – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office seized 19 illegal gambling machines and around $66,000 from businesses in Cherokee County Friday.
According to a release, the investigation began a month ago after several community members complained of criminal activity.
Three stores were searched, including DK’s Gas Station on the 400 block of North Dickinson Drive, Rusk Eagle Mart on the 500 block of South Dickinson Drive and Big Easy Market and Games on the 500 block of North Main Street, the release said.
“This is a county wide issue, and we will continue to investigate other businesses that are participating in the promotion of gambling,” the release said in part.
The sheriff’s office said no arrests have been made.
