GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) – A large gathering last night in a shopping plaza parking lot in Goshen was marred after police say shots were fired.
Officers say they were working to control overcrowding in the 200 block of Chicago Avenue around 8 p.m. when shots were fired on the north side of the parking lot at the Chicago Pike Plaza.
Police say a 20-year-old woman suffered a non-life-threatening leg injury and went to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say there were conflicting reports about the shooter(s) involved. They say they detained one person at the scene who had a gun, but they say it remains unclear if that person was directly involved in the incident.
This is currently an ongoing investigation, and we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
