BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — Several dozen new jobs are set to come to Bedford County over the next three years thanks to a $1.5 million company relocation investment.
The Bedford County Office of Economic Development announced Tuesday that they partnered with the Economic Development Authority and are excited to announce that Air Filter Systems, LLC is coming to the county.
Air Filter Systems will be investing more than $1.5 million in the county and will add up to 30 new jobs.

“The company has purchased an 8.57-acre tract in the Montvale Center for Commerce in Montvale and will construct a single story 20,000-square-foot building as a corporate office, warehouse and distribution center,” The Office of Economic Development said in the announcement.
Air Filter Systems distributes lines of filtration systems like HVAC air filters, cleanroom HEPAs, UV lighting, and paint booth finishing. The company’s corporate office in Roanoke will close to focus on the new Montvale location.
“We have an existing lease, but we are growing, and the current space doesn’t meet our demands, nor our anticipated growth,” said the company owners Rick Mongold and Mike McDaniel. “We are excited to get the ball rolling on this project and hope to be fully operational by spring of 2026.”
The Bedford County Office of Economic Development said AFS is bringing 15 existing Roanoke jobs to Montvale and plans to hire 15 more, mostly as technicians with an average salary of $55,000 per year.
