MSNBC has named Rebecca Kutler as President of MSNBC. Kutler had served in an interim capacity after the exit of Rashida Jones. “Since joining the network, Rebecca has played a pivotal role in the development of many of the network’s recent program launches, has been a driving force behind MSNBC’s nonlinear growth and strategic investments, and has introduced new and innovative audience-focused products,” said Mark Lazarus, set to head the Comcast spinoff company that will include the news network. Endemol Shine Boomdog has named writer, director and showrunner Jaime Escallon-Buraglia as its new Head of Unscripted Development. Escallon-Buraglia most recently served as showrunner for Endemol Shine Boomdog’s “Los 50” for Telemundo. The E.W. Scripps Co. has promoted Tony Lamerato from VP of Sports Revenue and Sponsorships, to leader of all revenue strategy and business development efforts across Scripps’ more than 60 local television stations, effective February 17. |
